After a break for the Easter weekend, city council gets back to business as usual with the end of the month regular meeting. If you feel an overwhelming need to revisit anything from the Committee of the Whole meeting earlier this month, this is a good time to do it because there’s almost nothing else on the agenda.
NOTE #1: Delegates will be able to appear at this meeting via telephone, but you do have to register with the clerks office before 10 am on Friday April 22. You can also submit written delegations and correspondences for agenda items.
NOTE #2: The meeting will be the open to the public, but if you would like to follow it from home, you will still be live-stream the meeting on the City of Guelph’s website here.
CLOSED MEETING AGENDA: 264 Crawley Road: Ontario Land Tribunal Update – Back in December 2020, council approved a notice to designate the old farmhouse on this property. The land owner, Industrial Equities Guelph Corporation, wanted to tear it down claiming difficulty in finding remediation aid or an adaptive reuse, but council moved to make it a heritage property instead. It looks like since then, the matter has gone up to the OLT for appeal.
Consent Agenda items from the Committee of the Whole meeting on April 4. (Items can be pulled by a councillor seeking additional information, otherwise all items will be voted on as a slate without further debate.)
