February’s meeting of the Guelph Police Services Board doesn’t have a lot on the agenda, but there is one very important issue that will be discussed and it’s a follow-up from a city council directive last fall. Council declared Intimate Partner Violence an epidemic, and members of the Service will tell us what they’re doing about it. RECAP: Public Health Tackles Inspections, Meningitis and Oral Health

The first Board of Health meeting of the year featured a lot of information (as usual). Perhaps you’ve notice that Wellington-Dufferin-Guelph Public Health has revamped the Check Before You Choose website, and you’ve probably noticed because more of you are consulting that site. MEETING PREVIEW: Grand River Conservation Membership Meeting for January 26, 2024

There’s no January chill at the Grand River Conservation Authority, and this month there’s a lot of end of the year/beginning of the year business to get to including, perhaps most importantly, the budget. The board will take their second crack at the budget for 2024 before it goes on for final passage next month, and the municipalities they represent will find out how much it will cost. RECAP: GRCA Board Pressed Again to Save Nature Centres

Like many boards, this month marks the last meeting of the year for the Grand River Conservation Authority membership, and there were a couple of issues addressed that are going to be an ongoing issue as we enter the new year. RECAP: One Quick Meeting for the Police Board to End 2023
